British Chamber of Commerce Abu Dhabi appoints Howden Guardian's Managing Director to Board of Directors

The British Chamber of Commerce Abu Dhabi (BCCAD) has appointed Racha Moukayed McClelland, Managing Director of Howden Guardian Insurance Brokers, to the board of directors. She has been instrumental in supporting the industry, encouraging best practices, fostering innovative solutions, and promoting world-class business conduct and ethics to build a vibrant and sustainable insurance community.

Joining the company immediately after university, Racha has spent twenty years learning the business and insurance industry, rising through the organization begun by her father five years previously. With a Diploma in Insurance from the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance and an M.B.A. in Healthcare Management from the University of Phoenix, Racha has additional training in organizational leadership, business law, human capital management, applied business research and statistics, operations management, strategic planning, and ethical, legal, and regulatory issues in insurance.

Racha Moukayed McClelland, Managing Director, Howden Guardian Insurance Brokers, said:

Racha received an award from ImInclusive, an initiative by Ma’an, for employing people of determination. She has been recognized by Howden as a Net Zero Champion in the Middle East and Africa and is instrumental in the company’s sustainability initiatives.

In addition to her new role at BCCAD, Racha is also the first and currently only woman on the board of directors of the Emirates Insurance Association.
